PROGRAMS: Personal Enrichment

Who May Enroll
Our Personal Enrichment classes are open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Sometimes we do offer classes that are specifically designed for kids, adults over 21, and seasoned adults, if so this will be indicated in the course description. Those wishing to take Personal Enrichment classes do not have to be admitted to the University, nor or they required to work at Mississippi State University. If you have additional questions about specific classes and who may enroll, please contact our office at 662-325-5002.

Class Registration
Registration for classes opens once the class is scheduled on the website and ends three days prior to the class start date. Some classes have limited enrollment and are filled on a first-come basis. To ensure you get the class you want we encourage everyone to register early. Classes can be canceled due to low enrollment; therefore, enrolling early helps ensure the class you want to take will be offered.

To register for a class you will need to create a student profile through our online registration system. Once you have created your student profile, select the class you would like to take from our course catalog and pay for the class online using your ATM, Debit Card or Credit Card. Those who register, but do not pay will be dropped from the course within 24 hours.

If you have any questions or need help registering please contact our office at 662-325-5002.

Class Fees
Class fees are due at the time of registration and must be paid using an ATM, Debit Card or Credit Card. We do not accept personal checks or cash. If you would prefer to pay over the phone using your ATM, Debit Card or Credit Card you may contact our office at 662-325-5002.

MSU employees, students, and departments can pay for classes using their MSU account. To pay for a class using a Banner account, please complete a Payment Authorization Form. This form can be sent by campus mail to Center for Continuing Education 9639 or by fax to 662-325-2702.

Class Cancellations
Classes with insufficient enrollment or other just causes, such as inclement weather or instructor illness may be cancelled. To ensure you are able to take the class you would like we suggest that you enroll early. All class cancellation decisions will be made 72 (3 days) prior to the class start date. Students enrolled in classes that are cancelled will be notified at least 24 hours prior to the first scheduled class meeting. A 100% refund will be issued to those enrolled in classes that are cancelled.

Mississippi State University reserves the right to cancel, postpone, limit enrollment, change instructors, move class locations, and split or combine classes when necessary.

Class Refunds
A $10 administrative fee is charged to process all class withdrawals. Withdrawals must be in writing (via email) and sent to cce@ext.msstate.edu. Refunds will be given up to 48 hours prior to the class start date, after this time no refunds will be issued. If you are unable to attend the class, you may send a friend, colleague or family member in your place. Please let us know as soon as possible if you wish to transfer your registration to another person. This request must be in writing and sent to cce@ext.msstate.edu.

Students with Disabilities
Accommodations will be made for students with disabilities. Please contact our office at 662-325-5002 or email cce@ext.msstate.edu.
