Introduction

This study guide lecture series addresses subjects that will be covered in the Mississippi BORF exam.  Once you have registered for the course, you will receive access and instructions on how to view the materials online.

Anyone wishing to practice forestry in the state of Mississippi must pass the Mississippi Board of Registered Foresters’ Exam.

What is a registered forester--

"A forester is a person who by reason of his knowledge of the natural sciences, mathematics, economics and the principles of forestry and by his demonstrated skills acquired through professional forestry education...is qualified to engage in the practice of forestry..." (Mississippi Foresters Registration Law of 1977).
